Yasser Pino comes to Christiania Jazz Club with a quartet bringing together bassist and vocalist Yasser Pino, pianist Carl Winther, drummer Niclas Campagnol, and percussionist Yohan Ramon. This ensemble creates a unique musical experience where Afro-Cuban traditions meet contemporary jazz expression.
The foundation rests on Pino's melodic bass playing, which both anchors the ensemble and creates space for dialogue. Carl Winther brings virtuosity and harmonic boldness to the piano, his improvisations flowing between intense energy and quiet, reflective passages. Niclas Campagnol propels the group forward with precise and fluid drumming that balances tightness with openness. Yohan Ramon completes the picture with authentic Afro-Cuban percussion that connects the music to its roots and gives it a living heartbeat.
What emerges when these four musicians come together is a spontaneous and respectful musical dialogue. Jazz improvisation takes flight when it meets Cuba's rhythmic spirit, and the result is music that feels both sophisticated and deeply human. Each performance is shaped by an energy built on mutual listening and the freedom to create without fixed boundaries.
