Workshop at BIBLIOTEKET - Cyanotype - Large Formats (and Small)

Spend a whole Sunday immersing yourself in cyanotype at BIBLIOTEKET. The workshop begins with an introduction to the technique, its history, and examples of the many expressions that can be created with blueprints. After that, there is plenty of time for your own experiments, where you can work in large formats and also try smaller cyanotypes along the way. A UV exposure unit is available that can expose up to 50x70 poster format, with an exposure time of 30 minutes and room for 2 cyanotypes at a time. You will also gain insight into how to build your own UV light box, and BIBLIOTEKET has various printers so you can print your own photos for use during the day.

The course is both for those who already work with cyanotype and for those who are new to the technique. Bring clothes that can handle a stain or two, watercolor paper in different qualities if you have it, dried or pressed flowers, flat objects or other motifs, as well as photos on a USB stick or your laptop/phone. Expect a material cost of 100,- for 4 sheets of suitable paper in the 50x70 format and various ptinting costs. Coffee, tea and a little something sweet will be provided, and lunch can be bought at FLOKK (FLERE FUGLE's little sister) on the ground floor. After the course, it will be possible to buy materials to take home with a workshop discount of 20%.
