A captivating evening under the planetarium dome where you explore the universe through the world's most advanced telescopes. Using the Planetarium's vivid and razor-sharp planetarium system, you will be brought close to the major instruments as we visit some of Earth's greatest and most significant observatories and beyond – from the Atacama Desert in Chile and the summit of Mauna Kea in Hawaii to the James Webb space telescope.
The lecture takes you on a journey through astronomy's history: from Galileo Galilei's revolutionary first look through a telescope in 1609 and Tycho Brahe's observation of a supernova to the Hubble Telescope's iconic images of distant galaxies. Discover how modern telescopes reveal invisible dark matter, search for planets around distant stars, and can even create images of black holes using telescopes spread across the entire Earth.
