Experience a meditative concert with Denmark's leading classical pianist Tanja Zapolski in the Glyptothek's historic Festival Hall. The concert is designed to bring you peace and presence through timeless piano works, where you can lie or sit on yoga mats under soft lighting.
The music program unfolds as a musical journey through periods – from Baroque structure through Romanticism and Impressionism to modern minimalism. You will hear nature-inspired works by J.S. Bach, Grieg, Debussy, Ravel, Messiaen, Sibelius, Arvo Pärt and Ólafur Arnalds, woven around the voices of nature through birdsong, forest landscapes, water movements and acoustic reflections in the magnificent space.
Tanja Zapolski is renowned for her virtuoso technique and powerful musical expression. Educated at the Royal Danish Conservatory, she has performed as a soloist with leading orchestras around the world and appeared in DR programs such as Den klassiske musikquiz and Piano on TV2.
The concert is performed without applause in complete silence, designed for those seeking reflection and inner peace. Your ticket grants access to the Glyptothek for the entire day, where you can freely explore the museum's collections. Yoga mats and blankets are available for loan on site; your own equipment is not permitted. If you prefer to sit, you can borrow a chair upon arrival.
