Experience the legendary Sledge Patrol SIRIUS in the War Museum's new spotlight exhibition, taking the whole family on an expedition to Northeast Greenland. Meet authentic sleds, patrol tents, and stories from some of the world's toughest patrols, gliding through landscapes in temperatures as low as minus 50 degrees.
Sit on an original SIRIUS sled, see the tent where patrol leaders sleep during month-long expeditions, and explore what patrollers actually eat – from energy bars to chocolate. A large model of a polar bear standing on its hind legs shows how impressive the Arctic's wildlife is.
Action for the whole family
The 'Combat Ready' exhibition also offers additional experiences: test the machine gun in an armored personnel carrier, admire a Lynx helicopter, or experiment with cannons and naval uniforms from the 1700s. Grab a samurai warrior's katana sword and learn the Japanese sword dance Kenbu through animation – and study an authentic katana from the 1600s.
Open throughout the autumn holiday daily 10–17. Children under 18 free; adults 130 kr.
