Learn the fundamentals of crime fiction writing at this workshop led by author Jesper Stein. Explore key questions: does plot matter more than narrative voice? How do you handle research, suspense, and graphic elements? Should you start with the classic prologue, a dream scenario, or a flashback to the murderer's childhood?
The workshop combines short presentations with practical writing exercises designed to spark your creativity or help you overcome writer's block. Jesper Stein is a trained journalist and experienced author with over ten years in the craft. He is known for his award-winning Axel Steen crime series (seven books) and has ten years' experience as a crime reporter. He has interviewed world-renowned authors such as James Ellroy, Michael Connelly, Ian Rankin, and John le Carré.
The workshop runs for two hours and consists of standalone exercises without a follow-up programme.
