This weekend course in screen printing focuses on textile printing, pattern building, and visual composition on fabric. The course is led by Lisa Adele Rogersdotter and is aimed at both beginners and those with experience who want to immerse themselves in the process. Participants work from sketch to finished print, and you may either bring your own sketches or create new ones with markers and ink during the course. The programme introduces screen printing, monoprint, overprinting, different binders, and the transfer of motifs to printing screens, including a demonstration of screen exposure.
The teaching takes place Friday 13 November at 17.00–20.00, Saturday 14 November at 10.00–16.00, and Sunday 15 November at 10.00–16.00 at Biblioteket Rentemestervej, Værkstedet 3. sal, København. Bring your own textiles, such as fabric scraps, used tablecloths, or clothing you would like to give new life. Lisa Adele Rogersdotter is trained as a textile designer from Det Kgl. Akademi and Kolding Designskole and works with patterns for textiles and wallpaper. Members of Dansk Tekstillaug receive 20 % discount, and members of Værkstederne på Rentemestervej also receive 20 % discount.
