Learn to work with color theory, mixing, and textile printing under the guidance of textile designer Ida Bank Blichfeld. This weekend workshop introduces you to color palettes and multi-color printing on fabric through experiments based on classical color theory from Johannes Itten and Josef Albers.
Over three days, you will explore color wheels, color compositions, and screen printing techniques using frame printing, squeegees, and stencils. You work with Uniprint inks on both white and colored textiles and have the opportunity to develop your own color palettes and create a personal multi-colored artwork that you take home.
The course takes place in the Library's textile workshop in a creative and relaxed atmosphere, where there is room for both solid technical knowledge and exploration. You will learn to understand color contrasts, build compositions, and use various fabric printing methods.
