A literary salon dedicated to Henrik Pontoppidan's classic novel Lykke-Per, arranged as part of autumn's thematic series "Culture in Nature" at Vartov. The event explores the relationship between culture and nature through European literature.
Lecturer Rasmus Vangshardt from the University of Oslo — co-founder of Rahbek's — analyzes Pontoppidan's masterpiece, while economics student Peter Wislund Hansen from the youth forum AGORA presents why today's young people should read the work. The salon offers inspiring conversation among interested and cultured participants.
The event is shaped by traditions of Rahbek's salons: speakers at the highest level, folk poetry and communal singing from the folk high school songbook, and serving of coffee, tea, water, and wine for social mingling.
Doors open at 5:30 PM, the salon runs from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. After the salon, participants under 30 meet in the youth forum AGORA's separate arrangement.
