Live Jazz at Søhesten: Veronika Rud

Veronika Rud Quartet presents live jazz at Søhesten. The Danish singer and composer from Aarhus debuted in November 2024 with the EP Mens jeg venter and has since received the Roager Prize, been nominated for Danish Music Award Jazz as the new name of 2025, and gained broad radio coverage. In February 2026, she released her second EP Nothing, which became album of the week on P8 and received 5 stars in Politikken.

Veronika's music revolves around presence, improvisation, and balance between the fragile and the playful. Drawing from modern Nordic jazz, Americana, and folk music, she creates musical spaces where voice, text, and interplay breathe freely. She invites listeners into her universe, where the richness of human emotion finds both form and sound.
