Øbro Jagtvej Library invites you to an in-depth literary event where author and journalist Pia Fris Laneth takes you through Tove Ditlevsen's life, works, and significance for Danish literature. Tove Ditlevsen, one of our most important literary voices, revolutionized Danish autofiction by giving working-class women both voice and words – she focused on life's difficult aspects and turned them into literature.
Pia Fris Laneth, who is behind the award-winning works Lillys Danmarkshistorie and 1915, possesses a profound knowledge of both Ditlevsen's life and the conditions of the era. She will guide you through the classics and explain why Ditlevsen is today regarded as one of Danish literature's giants.
During the event, coffee and pastries will be served, creating an inspiring and cozy atmosphere.
