Trombonist Lis Wessberg and vocalist Veronika Rud meet in a special musical collaboration, where Danish jazz encounters Nordic lyricism and the freedom of improvisation. Wessberg's cinematic universe forms the foundation for a concert experience that swings between intimate moments and expressive unfolding.
About the artists: Lis Wessberg is one of Denmark's most distinctive jazz musicians. With the albums Yellow Map (2021) and Twain Walking (2024), she has won critical acclaim for her warm and expressive trombone playing, inspired by both Miles Davis and modern soundscapes such as Radiohead and Talk Talk. Veronika Rud is counted among the most forward-thinking Danish vocalists on the jazz scene, with a present and nuanced voice that combines melancholic expression with playful lightness. Her voice captures both the sweet and the bitter of life through small everyday moments.
Admission: 395 kr + possible fees. The concert takes place at Jazzhus Montmartre.
