The Australian project Liars, led by composer and producer Angus Andrew, presents its experimental rock universe at Ideal Bar on October 24. With Angus Andrew at the helm and surrounded by musical collaborators, the project unfolds its characteristic fusion of indie rock, punk, and electronic music.
Since 1999, Liars has served as a musical laboratory for constant renewal. Each album opens the doors to its own sound universe, built on field recordings, improvisation, and studio experimentation. The songs challenge traditional structures and open entirely new spaces for what music can be.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the album Drums Not Dead, and parts of this classic work will be presented live. Expect unpredictable, exploratory music where immersive sound and performance merge into an experience without a set plan.
