An intimate and atmospheric evening dedicated to Faroese music, literature and culture. Songwriter and composer Elin Brimheim Heinesen invites you to 'kvølseta' – an ancient Faroese tradition of gathering for live music, stories and togetherness. With her warm and expressive voice alongside guitarist Eyðun Mohr Hansen, she unfolds her own Faroese songs and readings, while guest musicians and readings of Faroese literature provide variety.
Elin Brimheim Heinesen is one of the Faroe Islands' most respected songwriters, known for her musical versatility – from jazz and musicals to pop-rock and symphonic works. She grew up in Tórshavn in the 1960s and broke with tradition early by playing music alongside boys.
