Art writer Kinna Poulsen presents the lecture AT EYE LEVEL on the development of Faroese contemporary art in the 21st century. Based on the book At Eye Level: On 21st Century Contemporary Faroese Art (2026), she highlights the changes, turning points, trends, and artists that have shaped the Faroese art scene in the new millennium.
Kinna Poulsen (b. 1968) holds an MA in Danish and art history and works as a lecturer, author, critic, and curator. She has engaged closely with the Faroese art scene since the mid-1990s and has, among other honors, received 15. Juni Fondens Kritikerpris 2024 as well as M. A. Jacobsens færøske kulturpris for the book Í eygnahædd, which has now been published in English. The lecture is in Danish, lasts 60 min, and is followed by questions from the audience. The event is expected to last approximately 80 min in total.
