Meet little grasshopper Grethe, who loves to hop and can never sit still. One day she makes an enormous jump and ends up lost in a big, unfamiliar world full of adventure, fear, and loneliness. Fortunately, she has her slow snail friends to help her—if they can keep up!
This is a musical performance designed for children aged 4-8, telling the story of friendship, community, and finding your way back to yourself. Children sing along actively throughout the story and afterward get the chance to experiment with the various instruments and sounds from the show.
Creative team: Script, choreography, and direction by Jacob Stage. Instruments and scenography by Ruud Dekker. Concept, script, music, puppets, and scenography by Dorte Abrahamsen, who also performs on stage.
The performance is part of the festival "Theater Magic in Autumn Break," which presents children's theater across Copenhagen throughout week 42.
