Frederik Smal's minimalist solo exhibition unfolds an intimate exploration of memory, emotion, and belonging through simple line drawings. In Brønshøj Water Tower, the drawings' delicate expression meets the monumental concrete space, creating a wholly unique experience.
The works are scattered between the tower's concrete columns with no fixed route or guiding text. Thus you encounter the drawings organically, one at a time, as you move through the circular room. Raw concrete, natural light, distances between the works, and sound moving through the tower all form parts of the whole. The small scale and quiet expression make the room's impressive architecture appear different.
