Explore Copenhagen's female-centered history on this guided walking tour, following the traces of some of the city's most fascinating women through the ages. From the poor girl who became one of Denmark's most powerful – Countess Danner – to the inspiration Nathalie Zahle, as well as stories about servants, welfare workers and street vendors.
The tour starts at the new Danner statue at Sankt Jørgens Lake on Vester Søgade. From there you pass Danner House, through Ørsted Park and into Copenhagen's inner city via Teglgårdsstræde, where you both see physical traces and hear stories that open your eyes to the city you thought you knew.
The walking tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and is conducted as open tours by calendar schedule. Private tours for groups of up to 25 people and home visits are also available.
