Claus Høxbroe's Birthday Reading

Poet Claus Høxbroe celebrates his birthday and life itself after a year marked by serious losses and health challenges. He invites you to a special evening of poetry, where he will read selected poems from his extensive body of work.

Høxbroe will present works from his latest poetry collection Melankoliens møl i brystet and brand-new poems from the forthcoming collection Sangfroid, to be published in 2027. As thanks for the support over the years, a poetry collection is included in the ticket price.

Høxbroe is a distinctive voice in Danish poetry. Since his debut in 2006, he has published over 40 works and toured in 10 countries. He is recipient of the Public's Prize for Poetry Day and the Dan Turèll Prize and a member of the prestigious society Grøftens Poeter. This year he celebrates 20 years as a published poet. His writing explores the world and human life through a life in constant motion – from Copenhagen to around the world – where life and literature merge.
