Fencing Club Trekanten's Sunday class offers children aged 6–11 a safe and thorough introduction to fencing. The group is designed for beginners or those with minimal experience – no prior knowledge, personal equipment, or special fitness level required.
Training focuses on fundamental movements and techniques: fencing stance, safe forward and backward movement, distance control, and attacking and defending. Each session includes warm-up, games, coordination exercises, leg work, partner drills, and practice bouts. Fencing builds motor skills, balance, reaction time, and concentration while helping children develop confidence through goal-setting and measurable progress.
The ambition level is relaxed and inclusive – some children join for a fun and active Sunday activity, while others become fascinated by the technique and may later participate in competitions. Both paths are welcome. Coaches introduce newcomers step by step, and everyone can learn at their own pace. The club emphasises fair play, respect, and community.
Bring long training trousers, T-shirt, indoor sports shoes, and a water bottle. The fencing club provides masks, jackets, and weapons. Ryparken Sports Facility offers changing and shower facilities.
