Australian rock band C.O.F.F.I.N visits Stengade on November 29 with an energetic blend of punk rock, boogie, blues and proto-punk. The band from Sydney's northern beaches delivers high-intensity rock'n'roll with guttural vocals from behind the drum kit, electrifying lead guitar and razor-sharp rhythm.
Since 2005, C.O.F.F.I.N has created chaotic mosh-pit atmosphere with full-force energy and infectious riffs. From teenagers at Manly Youth Centre to the world's biggest festival stages, the band's 20-year DIY dedication has built a loyal global fanbase across five studio albums. Their latest 2023 release, "Australia Stops", received an ARIA nomination for Best Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Album as well as a National Live Music Award for Best Hard Rock / Heavy Album. The band has shared stages with Amyl and The Sniffers, Viagra Boys and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and plays at festivals worldwide.
The music draws on the rich and raw heritage of bands such as Coloured Balls, The Angels and AC/DC, but filtered through the band's own expression and addresses themes around Australian identity, community, environment and justice. A documentary is also in the works about the band's journey from teenage years to today.
