Embark on a musical journey across continents with the innovative trio Bushbabies. The group fuses Persian funk, Brazilian folklore, African percussion, and Tibetan elements in a unique quest for the mythical Huma bird – inspired by the Persian legend of the bird of fortune whose shadow is said to bring luck.
Bushbabies' latest album "Huma Bird" continues their characteristic genre-blending approach. Where their first project brought together afrobeat, cumbia, and highlife with melodies from folk songs, hymns, and ballads, they now explore new territory. The band delivers music that is simultaneously grounded and refined – stringent and solid, yet energetic and danceable. With virtuosity and curiosity, they create rhythms and sounds that are both serious and light, inviting and insistent.
